Construction crews hit a gas main in Bloomington Friday afternoon.

A two-inch gas line in a construction zone on Normandale Boulevard in Bloomington was struck by a road scraping truck late Friday morning, resulting in a gas leak according to the Bloomington Fire Department.

CenterPoint Energy reports the truck hit the line in the zone between 84th and 94th Street. The leak was stopped around 1:45 p.m. And the road was scheduled to reopen shortly thereafter.

There were no evacuations.
