The Ramsey County Attorney's Office has announced charges against four suspects in an alleged armed robbery and sexual assault in a parking lot near Harriet Island in St. Paul early Tuesday.

According to a release, 18-year-old Deandray Artez Easley, 19-year-old Devontre Jordan Vann, 20-year-old Vershone Jaquay Hodges and a 16-year-old male have each been charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual assault, four counts of first-degree aggravated robbery and two counts of kidnapping.

Originally, the location of the incident was reported by authorities to be near Raspberry Island, but a follow-up release Thursday afternoon said the more precise location is near Harriet Island. That is the location listed on each of the four criminal complaints.

Ramsey County Attorney's Office public information officer Dennis Gerhardstein confirmed the Harriet Island location.

The three adults were scheduled to make their first appearances in Ramsey County District Court Thursday afternoon.

The juvenile in the group was scheduled to make his initial appearance at the Ramsey County Juvenile Family Justice Center, but the release said prosecutors will attempt to try the 16-year-old as an adult.

According to the criminal complaint, the four suspects approached a group of four friends, ages 17 and 18, who were parked near Harriet Island. Stewart is alleged to have pointed a gun at the group, demanded their valuables and ordered them to lie face-down on the pavement.

The suspects are then alleged to have forced the two female victims, both 18, into a nearby vehicle where they raped both women repeatedly at gunpoint, according to the complaints.
