Officials in Mazeppa say an iconic downtown restaurant building was destroyed in an early morning fire Sunday.

KSTP affiliate KAAL in Rochester reports Mazeppa fire Chief Brandon Goranson said the call came in about 3:45 a.m. for a fire at WD's Bar and Grill.

The building was engulfed when firefighters arrived, Goranson said. Four other fire departments were called to assist.

At one point, Goranson said, the building collapsed and took out a power line.

Xcel Energy told Goranson that about 620 homes were without power for more than four hours Sunday morning, KAAL reports.

No one was injured in the blaze, the TV station reports. Neighboring buildings sustained minor damage.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of such an iconic structure on Main Street, but we as a community will be able to come back from it!" the fire department wrote in a Facebook post Sunday. "It's always nice to help your neighbor, which was shown in true colors today!"

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
