They were not large in number, but the presence of Philadelphia Eagles fans could be heard loudly on Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis after the team's Super Bowl victory Sunday.
There was not a visible sign of New England Patriots fans on Nicollet Mall, and the small contingent of Eagles faithful were still trying to process what just happened.
Brent Billerbeck said he drove up from his Iowa home to experience the Super Bowl.
"This is just amazing and I do not even know what to say, other than I was nervous and worried right up until the very end," Billerbeck said. "And then when the Eagles recovered that fumble in the fourth quarter, I knew we had it."
Kahayree Ford said he traveled from San Diego to sit in a bar to watch the game. This was his first chance to be in the same city as the Super Bowl while his team was playing.
"Listen, I don't understand what's going on, but I am so excited because of the fact we are winners," Ford said. "We're winners."
