Eagan Police Investigating 3-Year-Old's Death as Homicide

Police in Eagan have identified the 3-year-old boy killed last Thursday in an incident they say is now being treated as a homicide.

The release states Zayden Ace Larson died from what a preliminary investigation has shown to be blunt force trauma.

Police were called to an address on the 1600 block of Oak Ridge Circle at around 3:02 p.m. last Thursday. There, the report states, they found an unresponsive 3-year-old boy. 

Attempts at lifesaving measures were unsuccessful.

Neighbors are heartbroken by the boy's death and left many with questions.

"Just brought tears to my eyes when we found out that he had passed," neighbor Toni Rose Johnson said. "This has been a shocker to the community. We want to know the truth and what's going on."

No arrests have yet been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Eagan Police Department at 651-675-5700.
