VIDEO: Former Minneapolis Police Officer Accused Of Kicking Man in the Face

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has obtained video showing the moments in which a former Minneapolis police officer is accused of kicking a man in the face.

Reiter is charged with third-degree assault causing substantial bodily harm. The felony charge was announced last Wednesday in connection with a May 2016 case. According to the criminal complaint, the 36-year-old Reiter responded to a domestic assault call and kicked Mohamed Abdi Osman in the face.

Reiter's attorney said the leak of the video prior to trial all but guarantees his client will not be able to receive a fair trial in the metro area.
