The 2.5-acre park, located along University Avenue, is undergoing an improvement project expected to be completed by the spring of 2018.

According to the city's website, those improvements include native plantings and lawn within the 1.1 acres of designated parkland between Fairview Avenue and Wheeler Street, concrete walkways, plaza space, lighting, seating, bike racks
