Cory joined KSTP 5 Eyewitness News in March 2010. His journalism career began at WBDL in Baraboo, Wisconsin, as a radio reporter and anchor. He became the News Director at radio stations KWNG, KCUE, and KLCH in Red Wing, Minnesota, while continuing to report and anchor the news. From there he traveled up the Mississippi to St. Cloud, Minnesota, where he continued his role as News Director and reporter and anchor at radio stations KCLD, WWJO, KNSI and KCML. Cory's career took him to WCCO radio and television in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he worked as a news reporter and anchor.

During his career, Cory has had the unique opportunity of reporting on many memorable stories like being embedded with the Minnesota National Guard Soldiers in Iraq, reporting from Kosovo, and reporting from the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina. Throughout his career, Cory has received many prestigious awards from the Associated Press for coverage of breaking news and continuing coverage.

Cory and his wife have three children and live in the west metro. They enjoy vacation time in the Brainerd Lakes area and love being outdoors, but more importantly love the Wild and playing hockey!
