A suspect in a homicide in Colorado Springs was arrested at a Super 8 Hotel in Bloomington early Monday morning, police say.

In a release, the Bloomington Police Department confirmed that 59-year-old Derrick Davis, who had reportedly checked into the hotel Sunday evening, was taken into custody after a vehicle said to have been being driven by him was located outside the hotel, located at 7800 2nd Avenue South, just after midnight Monday.

The release states a perimeter was established and the Bloomington Emergency Response Unit was called into assist.

Just after 6 a.m., police said a call was made into the room occupied by Davis and two other adults. All three agreed to come out without incident.

Davis was arrested and is being held on the warrant relating to the Colorado Springs homicide. The other two adults were reportedly questioned and released at the scene.
