Previous Experience
Cleo Greene joined the KSTP 5 Eyewitness News team in February 2015. Before landing in Midwest, she spent seven years in the business.  She worked as a morning show reporter on the east coast at WBOC/FOX21 in Salisbury, Maryland.  Cleo also worked solo as a multi-media journalist at WRDW CBS News 12 in North Augusta, S.C.

Cleo believes the best experience comes from interning. She was an investigative unit intern for WCAU NBC 10 in Philadelphia. She learned the ins and outs of the entertainment and fashion industry as an intern at Cosmogirl Magazine in Manhattan. Cleo returned to the newsroom as an apprentice reporter for WGMT NBC 40 in Linwood, N.J.

Memorable Stories/Interviews
While working as a general assignment reporter for WTJX PBS Channel 12, Cleo covered hard hitting feature stories from homelessness in paradise, territorial gang awareness to candid interviews with United States Virgin Islands Gov. John P. DeJongh Jr.

Cleo graduated from Rowan University in 2008 where she earned a B.A. in broadcast journalism and radio, television and film.

Personal Interests
Cleo is from South Jersey with immigrant parents from Guyana and Jamaica.  Her natural affinity to the islands led her to St. Croix, US Virgin Islands where she got her first gig in television as a feature reporter at WRDW, the Public Broadcasting system.  When she’s not in the newsroom, Cleo enjoys spending time with her toy poodle. She enjoys running and is a marathoner.
