A boil order for the city of Ostrander in effect since Monday has been lifted.
The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office had issued the order for residents to boil water for consumption on Monday after a heater in the water supply’s well house failed and caused the pipes to freeze. The town's population is 256.
The state Department of Health and the city of Ostrander lifted the order Wednesday.
