Authorities say a Minneapolis man urinated in his co-worker's water bottle after she turned down his romantic advances, according to a criminal complaint.

The complaint states Conrrado Cruz Perez, 47, was charged with two misdemeanor counts in connection to the incident.

Authorities were called in October to the Perkins Family Restaurant in Vadnais Heights on a harassment report. When police arrived, they spoke with a woman who said that the water in her water bottle tasted like urine.

The complaint said the woman reported 15 instances of urine-tasting water in her water bottle. She said the incidents occurred after Cruz made romantic advances, and she said she only wanted to be friends with him.

In an interview with police, Cruz first denied tampering with the woman's water bottle. When the possibility of DNA testing on the subject's water bottle came up, Cruz admitted to urinating in the water bottle.

He told officers he only did so because he had "to go to the bathroom and the restaurant was busy." He said he then forgot to throw away the water bottle.
