Century Middle School Dean Named to Interim Post as Investigation into Principal Continues

The superintendent of Lakeville Area Public Schools says Century Middle School Dean Jason Bakke will take over as interim principal as police continue to investigate an allegation Principal Chris Endicott accessed a computer without permission.

In a statement Wednesday, Superintendent Michael Baumann said he has met with Apple Valley police, the investigating agency, about the allegation, but that he does not have "all of the details concerning the complaint."

Baumann said Century students are "in no way compromised or at risk."

The district has placed Endicott on administrative leave as the investigation continues. 

"The staff at Century Middle School continues to provide a safe learning environment for all students," Baumann's statement reads. "The administration, with my support and that of others, will provide stable leadership during this time."
