UPDATE: Preliminary autopsy results show a missing Lake Elmo woman whose body was found in Cottage Grove died of hypothermia.

A woman who was reported missing by her boyfriend was found dead in a wooded area in Washington County, according to authorities.


Woodbury police said the body of 25-year-old Alexandra Arnt was discovered Saturday evening in a snow covered area near Crossroads church.

She had been reported missing by her boyfriend overnight.

Police said her cell phone and vehicle were located in a ditch. Arnt's body was located later in a wooded area.

Her death is still under investigation.
