After a St. Paul cat received notoriety for being banned from wandering into a  library, some have big plans for the feline's future.

Max the cat gained traction on the Internet after he was banned from the Macalester library earlier this fall.

"It's just something I did to make students laugh as kind of a joke, but also to get students involved in the story of Max because he was a campus character beforehand," Macalester library associate Chris Schommer said.

Schommer said the story of Max has gained so much intrigue he plans to write a book about him.
