The video above aired when the two suspects were charged in October.
One of the two men charged in connection to the shooting of a 13-year-old boy in the Little Earth community in south Minneapolis has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder.
Andrew Jonathan Townsend, 22, entered the plea Wednesday in Hennepin County. He and Brandyn Lee Wilson were charged with second-degree attempted murder after the shooting, which took place just before 11 p.m. on Oct. 9 on the 2400 block of Ogema Place.
According to the criminal complaint, officers arriving on the scene found a 13-year-old male lying face down with a gunshot wound to the head.
Witnesses reported seeing three men, including one carrying a firearm, both before and after the shooting. Surveillance video also reportedly shows Wilson, Townsend and an unidentified third male.
Townsend is alleged to have been the individual in possession of the handgun.
The surveillance video, according to court documents, shows the three men walking across the parking lot of the housing complex seconds before the victim falls to the ground.
A jury trial has been scheduled for May. Wilson is next scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 9.
