2017 State Fair: One For the Books

This year's Minnesota State Fair came to an end Monday, but fairgoers packed a year's worth of memories into the past 12 days. 

When total attendance is announced Tuesday, 2017 has a chance to be the most-attended in the event's 158-year history. If Labor Day crowds were large enough, this year's State Fair would break 2016's record of 1,943,719 people.


As festivities entered their final phase and country star Sam Hunt took to the grandstand, State Fair mascots Fairborne and Fairchild expressed their dismay that the fun would soon be over.
