2 shot in Minneapolis Thursday afternoon

Two men were injured in a shooting in Minneapolis Thursday afternoon.

According to Minneapolis police, at 2:24 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2000 block of 21st Avenue South.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located a man suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Officers were searching the area for a second victim when they were informed that Metro Transit police stopped a vehicle that was driving erratically in the area of 28th Street East and 26th Avenue South. In that vehicle, authorities found a second man suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds who was en route to the hospital. The victim in that vehicle is believed to have been shot in the same incident.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
