An 18-year-old man died in a crash in Barrett, west of Alexandria, early Saturday morning. 

According to the State Patrol, the crash happened around 3 a.m. Saturday. A 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass was traveling northbound on Highway 55 and went off the road north of the city of Barrett. The brush and dry grasses under the vehicle caught fire, which then caught the vehicle on fire
