One person was killed Sunday in Minneapolis in a crash involving a Metro Transit bus, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The State Patrol incident report said the collision occurred on eastbound Interstate 94 and Lowry Avenue. 


The incident report said a Toyota Prius was traveling south on I-94E, when it lost traction and spun out. The Prius was then broad-sided by a Metro Transit bus.

The State Patrol said the front passenger died due to injuries. The incident report identified the man as Rashid Mohamed Faqid. 

The driver and rear passenger of the vehicle were transported to North Memorial Medical Center. 

The incident report said the driver was the only occupant in the bus at the time.
