1 Injured in Vehicle vs Pedestrian Collision

One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle in Bloomington, according to the Bloomington Police Department.

Police say the incident occurred just before 7 p.m. on Old Shakopee Road.


The pedestrian was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center and is in critical condition. Police did not identify the individual.

"He's got a loving heart. He's a real good guy," Charles Ginyard Jr., a friend of the victim said.

A KSTP reporter on scene witnessed a wheel chair being towed away with the vehicle involved in the collision.
