One of two medical marijuana companies licensed in Minnesota announced Monday that they are lowering prices.

Minnesota Medical Solutions, also known as MinnMed, is reducing the prices of more than two dozen medical cannabis products, some of which will be reduced by more than 50 percent, according to company officials.

The price reductions are across the Vireo Spectrum. Company officials say the move will make medical cannabis more affordable and accessible to Minnesota patients.

Vireo Health Chief Medical Officer Stepehn Dahmer said in a statement that the cheaper “starter packages” will allow first-time patients to try medical marijuana at an affordable rate to see if it helps their conditions.

MinnMed is licensed by the state to cultivate, manufacture and dispense medical cannabis.
