Enjoying the height of summer and sunshine also means that sunburns lead to nearly 34,000 emergency room visits with even more people going to urgent care.

That's according to the journal of the American Medical Association.

Those visits cost an average of $330.

A new "JAMA Dermatology" study showed many of those visits can actually be treated a home.
