Mayo Clinic nurses in Albert Lea and Austin have ratified new options for those facing layoffs.

The options are in light of Mayo’s plans to consolidate services because clinic representatives say it’s losing money on the Albert Lea facility.

After a number of negotiations, a majority of nurses from both hospitals accepted Mayo's offer to address issues including affected jobs, seniority and patient care training for nurses who move to a new unit.
