Weekend events Oct. 7-9

There’s a variety of events happening this weekend in the Twin Cities.

Here is a roundup of events:

Friday

Check out artwork from hundreds of Edina Public School students at Edina Community Center from 6:45-9:45 p.m. The art will be projected onto the side of the building and the completed project is called “Healing Circles.”

Enjoy a high-energy runway show, “Curated Style,” at 8 p.m. at Mall of America. The show will include Project Runway designers including Minnesota designer Christopher Straub. The show will also feature performances by So You Think You Can Dance Season 16 winner, Bailey “BailRok” Muñoz. Find more information here.

Friday and Saturday

Celebrate Oktoberfest in the Twin Cities on Friday and Saturday at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds. There will be beer, music, entertainment and more. Find more information here.

Saturday

Enjoy vintage and exclusive beers paired with live music at Surly Brewing’s Darkness Day. The event will take place from 11 a.m.- 11 p.m. at Surly in Prospect Park. There will also be flash tattoos, vendors, food and more. Find more information here.

Celebrate Indigenous Minnesota cultures at Owámni Falling Water Festival from 1-5 p.m. at Water Works at Mill Ruins Park in downtown Minneapolis. This family-friendly event will feature music, art, exhibitors, food and more. Find more information here.

Enjoy locally-brewed beer, food trucks, local vendors, live music and more at Harvest-tober Fest in at Central Park in Maple Grove from 4-9 p.m. Find more information here.

Sunday

Celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day at Midtown Global Market from 12-2 p.m. The event will feature Native American traditions, a talk about the holiday’s importance, a demonstration of making Sunflower Seed Cookies, live performances and more. Find the event page here.

All weekend

Meet and shop for crafts from over 150 artists from across the country at the 2022 American Craft Made Marketplace at the Saint Paul RiverCentre. A one-day pass is $10 in advance and $15 the day of. Find more information here.
