Best Buy offers free DTV converter box help
Best Buy’s Geek Squad has been contracted by the Federal Communications Commission to provide free, expert in-home digital television converter box installation assistance to households in Minnesota.
The technicians will help those who are unable to connect their converter box and could use some help getting prepared for the June 12 transition.
Through this program, the FCC is especially focused on reaching ‘at risk’ households, such as low-income consumers, minority communities, non-English speaking consumers, senior citizens, consumers living in rural areas or on tribal lands, and consumers with disabilities.
