DTV assistance center to open in Twin Cities
DTV: Questions and Answers
The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights Education Fund announced they would open DTV assistance centers in the top seven ‘at-risk’ cities in the nation on Dec. 15, which includes Minneapolis and St. Paul.
The centers will be hubs for information and technical assistance on the transition, trainings, and events to provide DTV-related assistance to people.
The DTV transition will require millions of Americans to take action in order to maintain access to free over-the-air television.
The Twin Cities has been named an ‘at-risk’ area because of the high level of older residents, people with disabilities, and people with language barriers.
Through partnerships with community organizations, LCCREF will establish centers in other at risk communities: Atlanta, Detroit, Portland, San Antonio, San Francisco-San Jose-Oakland, and Seattle-Tacoma.
