First Student Bus Company is looking to hire 150 drivers, and to find them, job fairs are taking place in five locations across the Twin Cities on Tuesday.

The company is looking for part-time workers for morning and afternoons.

First Student is the largest school bus transportation provider in the Twin Cities and is used for 10 school districts in the metro, including Minnetonka, Wayzata, Orono, St. Paul, North St. Paul, Robbinsdale, Fridley, Anoka-Hennepin, Osseo and White Bear Lake.

A current employee says driving a bus is enjoyable, rewarding and good for someone who works independently.

“You’re kind of your own boss, taking care of the students riding to and from school and getting them there each day safely,” First Student driver Randy Rogers said.

The job fairs take place until 6 p.m. Tuesday in Anoka, Brooklyn Park, Champlin, Robbinsdale and St. Paul.

  • Anoka: 650 South St.
  • Brooklyn Park: 7225 Winnetka Ave. N.
  • Champlin: 11911 Champlin Drive
  • Robbinsdale: 4124 Winnetka Ave. N.
  • St. Paul: 80 Arolington Ave. E.

For those who can’t attend the job fairs, applications are being accepted online.
