SLEEPY EYE, Minn. (AP) - The father of a Minnesota boy who went on the run with his mother to avoid chemotherapy is asking the pair to return home.
Anthony Hauser talked to reporters briefly Thursday afternoon at his farm near the southern Minnesota town of Sleepy Eye. He addressed his wife Colleen directly, saying, "Please bring Danny home so we can decided as a family what Danny's treatment should be."
Hauser said he knows his wife is scared, but he says the rest of the family is "worried sick" about 13-year-old Daniel.
Daniel Hauser has Hodgkin's lymphoma. He and his mother fled Monday, a day before a court hearing to decide how he should be treated. Daniel and his parents wanted to use alternative treatments rather than chemotherapy.
Daniel and his mom were last seen in California.
