FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Officials at a Fargo hospital say a wounded Minnesota sheriff's deputy will be transferred to a rehabilitation hospital in Denver.

Chris Dewey was shot in the head and abdomen nearly two weeks ago, while investigating a shooting in a Mahnomen neighborhood. He's listed in satisfactory condition.

MeritCare Hospital officials say in a statement that Dewey is expected to be moved later this week to Craig Hospital, which specializes in traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.

A MeritCare spokeswoman said no further details were available Monday.
