Previous experience
Phil joined the 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Team as a Sports Anchor in June 2008 after spending three years at KMGH-TV in Denver, Colorado, as sports anchor/reporter. Prior to that he held anchor/reporter positions at WGCL-TV in Atlanta, WHNS-TV in Greenville, South Carolina, KLFY- TV in Lafayette, Louisiana and he was a sports producer at WVUE-TV in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Education
Phil received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Career highlights
Phil has covered several numerous Super Bowls, World Series, Stanley Cup Playoffs, NBA Playoffs, Masters, Daytona 500 races, Frozen Four, NCAA Basketball, Hockey and Baseball Regionals, and NCAA Bowl Games.
