Previous experience
Chris joined 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS in February 2007 from News 12 in New Jersey, where he was a reporter for two and a half years.  Prior to that he was a reporter for WCBS News Radio in New York from 1999 to 2004, and anchor/reporter for WCTC News Talk Radio in New Jersey from 1997 to 1999.

Education
Chris received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a Political Science minor from La Salle University in Pennsylvania.

Career highlights
Chris reported from “The Pit” at Ground Zero on September 11, 2001.  “The atmosphere of sadness mixed with compassion and pride from everyone around the Towers is one I’ll never forget,” Chris said.  Another top story Chris covered was the Seton Hall University dorm fire in New Jersey that killed three college students in 2000.  He also recently covered “the incredible culture of crime” in New Jersey.

Community involvement
Chris was a “big brother” to Tyrone for three years through Big Brothers Big Sisters in New Jersey.  He was also a member of Sea Net Beach Sweeps, and organization in New Jersey that examines the cause of death among sea birds.
