A 24-year-old man has been charged with burglary after admitting to breaking into a SuperAmerica gas station to eat a 3 Musketeers candy bar.
Anoka police officers were called to the store on the 700 block of West Main Street around 12:13 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, after a burglary alarm went off.
The glass door at the front of the business had been broken and a man was seen behind the counter, according to the criminal complaint. He was later identified as Daniel Lee Sohr.
Sohr told police he was homeless, very high on meth, and broke into the store to eat a 3 Musketeers bar, which he did.
Sohr has been charged with third-degree burglary. If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.
