A goal just fifteen seconds into the game helped the Centennial boys hockey team beat Blaine 2-1 in the section 5AA championship game.

Centennial wasted no time putting the pressure on Blaine when Conner Lovick shoveled the puck to the net and Ryner Gorowsky scored to give Centennial a 1-0 lead just fifteen seconds into the first period.

Collin Hughes gave the Cougars a 2-0 lead in the second period off a pass by Will Schwartz.

Dallas Gerads scored Blaine's lone goal in the third period, but Centennial goalie Blake Miller made 38 saves.

It is Centennial's second straight trip to the boys state hockey tournament.
