Authorities have identified the woman killed in a truck vs. train collision in Baldwin, Wis., on Wednesday.
The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office says the woman is 69-year-old Gloria Helen Marske of Cumberland. Her husband, 69-year-old Roy Lee Marske, was the driver of the vehicle and had non-life threatening injuries.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Marskes’ pick-up truck was leaving a business on the 2200 block of U.S. Highway 12 around noon Wednesday.
They were headed north on the highway when they were crossing the tracks. According to witnesses, the driver tried to reverse and get off the tracks, but the truck was hit on its passenger side.
They were both sent to Baldwin Area Medical Center, where Gloria Helen Marske was pronounced dead.
The train was carrying mixed cargo containers.
