Previous experience Education Career highlights Prior to his Minnesota homecoming, Art covered more than a dozen hurricanes in the southeast, including southern Florida. He also anchored more than 20 continuous hours of the devastating New Mexico wildfires in 1999. Art was also co-organizer and host of KRQE-TV’s “FireCam Telethon”, which raised money for the Rio Rancho fire department to purchase life-saving thermal imaging cameras. Community involvement In New Mexico, Art was involved with Make a Wish Foundation and the Rio Rancho Department of Public Safety. He also served as master of ceremonies for several charities while in Florida. Personal interests Art is a single father of three children. He enjoys hiking, bike riding, skiing, body surfing, volleyball, bowling, painting, writing, traveling, music, high-def video, videography, and antique radio and television sets. He is excited to be back in Minnesota. “I had such a great time here before that I just had to come back!” says Art. “Minnesota is a great place to live.”
