Mahnomen's defense paved the road to the Prep Bowl as the Indians blanked Bethlehem Academy of Faribault 19-0 in a Class A State Football Semifinal.

It was a rematch of last year's Class A Championship.

Mahnomen forced eight Bethlehem Academy turnovers in the game - two interceptions, two fumbles and four turnovers-on-downs - in hanging the shutout.

Tom Pavek and Austin Reitan each ran for over 90 yards and a touchdown.  Pavek added a touchdown pass to Nathan Hanson on his only completion of the game. The Indians ran the ball 53 times and passed just three times.

Mahnomen will take a shot at an 8th State Championship in the Class A title game against Dawson-Boyd.
