Edina's Caitlyn Merzbacher Wins 2A Singles Title, Mayo Girls Win 2A Double Championship

Caitlyn Merzbacher of Edina defeats Mounds View senior Summer Brills for her first state singles 2A title.  

Merzbacher won a title for the ages, not only did she defeat the former state champion Summer Brills in an epic 3 set match, but she had to win a 3 set match just to get into the finals.  

All told Merzbacher played over five hours of tennis and played 6 sets in order to secure the title in class 2A.

Rochester Mayo doubles team Kylie Boyer adn Kate Rosenow defeated St. Paul Central's Helen and Zone Klass-Warch 6-2, 6-2 to win the 2A doubles title, it's the team second championship in three years.
