The Red Bull Crashed Ice competition is coming back to St. Paul this winter.
Athletes will be racing down a man-made ice track as part of the Ice Cross Downhill World Championship. The competitors will race four-at-a-time through the downhill course while navigating a vertical drop, jumps, bumps and turns.
Organizers say the new course will be even bigger and faster than the one from last year.
The Minnesota event is set for Feb. 22, 2014. The Red Bull Crashed Ice schedule for its 14th season in 2014 will also include a return to Finland and Russia and the annual stop in Canada.
The Red Bull Crashed Ice 2014 calendar:
Feb. 1 – Helsinki, Finland
Feb. 22 – St. Paul, Minnesota
March 8 – Moscow, Russia
March 22 – Quebec City, Canada
