A long time family tradition in Minneapolis will end this winter.
After 22 years downtown, organizers are pulling the plug on the Holidazzle parade. The event will be held this year, but the parade will be replaced with another holiday festivity in 2014.
The Downtown Council says the decision was made to create a bigger and broader holiday experience for downtown Minneapolis. What that experience will be is still be planned.
Holidazzle will take place on Fridays and Saturdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year.
