Isanti Middle School and the Minnesota Center recently opened a 9-hole Disc Golf Course on school grounds.

The student council primarily funded the course, and numerous volunteers also helped install the Disc Golf Course, according to the Cambridge-Isanti School District.

The Freesbee Disc Golf Association was involved in the layout and design of the course, which will be officially listed on their website. The Mach 3 disc course baskets are top of the line and are the first and only in Minnesota, reported the district.

The course is open to the public before and after school hours, as well as on weekends.

The course starts on the southeast end of the school's parking lot and winds towards the river and behind the building. There are toe-boards to start each hole with distances marked on each toe-board. More official signs are currently being designed.

The school district is looking for hole sponsors, which would have a sign and advertisement at each hole. Individuals or businesses that would like to advertise and sponsor a hole, can contact John Droubie, activities coordinator at 763-691-8607.
