Newly-Renovated Amplatz Children's Hospital Aims to Calm Patients
The newly-renovated University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital has new features meant to calm patients.
The hospital mainly hosts patients ages 12-18 dealing with mental health or substance abuse.
It has features like a therapeutic swimming pool, swings, a sensory room and other tools used for treatment.
The hospital is also designed with some rounded corners to try and soothe patients.
The new hospital opens Thursday and expands the hospital's specialty care which includes anxiety, depression and behavioral difficulties.
