Anoka County Authorities Investigate Possible Murder-Suicide

Ramsey police officers are investigating a suspected murder-suicide.

Officers were called to the 8500 block of 176th Lane Northwest around 10:32 a.m. Tuesday after a relative of the couple got an email with suicidal content.

Officers entered the home and found two adults dead in the bedroom; they each had gunshot wounds to the head, police say. Police say there were also a number of cats in the home that were killed by gunshots.

Police say they aren’t looking for suspects at this time and that it appears that a 67-year-old woman, identified as Caron Fine, died before a 65-year-old man, identified as Mitchell Fine.

The incident is being investigated by the Ramsey Police Department, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, and the Anoka County Medical Examiner’s Office.
