Police Investigate Overnight Shootings

Minneapolis police are investigating two overnight shootings. The most recent shooting happened around 4 a.m. Sunday. Officers learned that there was a shooting victim in the Riverside neighborhood.

Police say a man was shot in the chest in an apartment building at at 16 36th Street South.

He was transported to HCMC and is listed in serious condition.

Officers are still looking for the gunman.

The second shooting was about two hours earlier near the intersection of 1st Avenue and 4th Street North in downtown Minneapolis.

Authorities say a man was shot in the ankle and transferred to HCMC.

No arrests have been made and there is no word on whether the two cases are connected.
