Woodbury Sophomore Takes 1st Place in Clay Shooting Competition
A Woodbury High School sophomore took first place in the state championship for clay shooting.
Ben Jacobus had the male high average for Conference 2A in the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League. More than 930 students participated in the whole competition.
The Woodbury High School team took first place in Conference 2A. Also, senior Jessica Martin took third place for females in the conference.
The Minnesota League is a trap league, similar to the Olympic shooting sport. It’s open to students in grades 6-12. For more information, visit mnclaytarget.com.
