Circle Pines Woman Charged with Sneaking Meth into Jail

A Circle Pines woman is accused of trying to sneak meth into the Anoka County Jail.
A Centennial Lakes police officer said he saw a vehicle driving erratically into the median on Lexington Avenue and 97th Lane Northeast around 4:54 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2.
The driver was identified as 23-year-old Nicole Lynn Denzer of Circle Pines, who was arrested on a controlled substance possession charge after the officer searched her vehicle.
Denzer was booked into the Anoka County Jail. During an inspection of the cells, a canine indicated that there were drugs in Denzer’s unit.
Denzer admitted that she had hidden drugs inside her vagina. Officers found a clear plastic bag with 17 grams of meth and a clear pipe.
Denzer has been charged with a second degree controlled substance crime and introducing contraband into a correctional facility. If convicted, she faces up to 25 years in prison and $500,000 in fines on the controlled substance charge and up to one year in prison and $3,000 in fines on the correctional facility charge.
