EmailMulticultural Kickoff Event Welcomes New U of M Students
First-year University of Minnesota students are invited to a Multicultural Kickoff event to help ease the transition into college life.
The event offers information about academic and cultural supports on campus and gives students with diverse backgrounds a chance to mingle with other students, faculty, and staff members.
According to the university, about 300 students participate in the event each year.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Blegen Hall and Willey Hall. It’s free, but registration is required.
