The public is invited to come get an updated on the renovations to the Burnsville Skate Park during a public meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 7 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Burnsville City Hall.
The Burnsville Recreation Department will present construction plans and timelines for Phase I of the proposed renovations.
The City Council still needs to give final approval. That is expected to happen Aug. 6. If it does pass, construction will begin in early September and wrap up by the end of November.
Plans for Phase 1 include a new entrance to the park with a driveway/drop-off area, new landscaping and equipment and a brand new concrete skating surface.
Representatives of the Burnsville Skate Park will be holding fundraisers throughout the year, and are looking for individuals or businesses wishing to make a donation. If you are interested in donating call 952-895-4500.
