Olympian Dominique Dawes Meets Local Kids at MOA
Local kids got to meet an Olympic champion today at Mall of America.
Dominique Dawes competed in three Olympic summer games as a member of the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics Team.
Today, Dawes met with kids from the Boys and Girls Club to teach them how to live a healthy lifestyle, including exercising and eating right.
Dawes was part of the Magnificent Seven Team that won the gold medal at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. She’s also the first female African American gymnast to win an individual medal.
