EmailU of M to Decide Gopher Games' Alcohol Rules
After much debate and a legislative compromise, the University of Minnesota will decide how it will sell alcohol at Gopher games.
Tomorrow, the Board of Regents will consider a plan developed by a task force. It would allow for the sale of beer and wine at TCF Bank Stadium one hour before kick-off until the end of halftime. There would only be one place to buy – at a beer garden area on the west end of the stadium.
Beer and wine would be sold in the premium seating areas of Williams and Mariucci Arenas.
